Problem Statment

I plan to determine if elementary students who use computer based interventions score higher on standardized tests than elementary students who do not use computer based interventions.

Who: elementary students
What: computer based interventions
Why: impact on student achievement based on computer interventions

  1. Rudy,
What do you mean by computer based interventions?

  2. I think this will be a great research topic, and I would very interested in the outcome. Plus, that will help set the stage for middle school and high school where there will be more and more technology used.

I also have the same question as Erika, can you be more specific? Would this be as a reward type intervention or for students struggling to understand a concept/idea?

  3. I love your idea and in fact it was something I was thinking of trying to tackle until I saw your post. I am thinking that your topic is for comprehensional purposes. We do some interventions through technology at my school but I would love to see what else you can come up with!

    Great Job!

  4. Hi all,
I posted this comment the other day, but I am not seeing it so I will post again, sorry if it duplicates. By computer interventions I mean programs like Successmaker, or Louisianapass.org. Successmaker administers a test, and then starts where the student needs help in ELA and Math. However, I don't think it will be very effective if it is not used daily.
